Comme avec les femelles, on se tournera vers le poulain le mieux né, Duykfen, frère des excellentes Tasmania et Palomba, et rejeton de Le Havre, qui donne généralement de bonnes aptitudes aux terrains souples. Bien placé dans les stalles, on s’attend à le voir très bien débuter.
Disposant également d’un joli pédigrée, Sabio Cen fait en plus de cela l’objet de bruits favorables. Associé à Christophe Soumillon, c’est une belle possibilité pour le podium comme le Fabre Waldstar, sûrement pas très précoce mais en mesure de bien figurer d’entrée de jeu et Zoom Chop, présenté par un homme toujours habile avec les inédits. Ensuite, c’est un peu à chacun le sien mais on peut citer Sun Joy, par une mère qui avait montré un peu de qualité en compétition, Sun Fast, pour l’entrainement de Christopher Head qui amène ses pensionnaires prêts dès leurs premiers pas et Cullinan, mal placé dans les boites mais qui a un papier intéressant.
